Historic Stone Building – Interior Reimagined
This magnificent, decades-old stone structure , with its imposing exterior, presented a unique opportunity: to elevate a previously dated and traditional interior into a space of uncompromising modern luxury and distinctive character.
Selective structural changes, new flooring and complete functional overhaul transformed the home’s aesthetic, moving from neutral, traditional tones to a bold, industrial-chic color language while preserving the building’s soul. We highlighted and exposed the key original wood beam and retained the rich timber window shutters, contrasting them with new, vibrant elements.
The most dramatic changes are seen in the functional spaces:
• The dated kitchen was replaced with sleek, light blue cabinetry, a farmhouse-style sink, and a striking mosaic tile backsplash, creating a functional, modern focal point.
• The all-white, traditional bathrooms were completely redesigned with a dramatic high-contrast theme, featuring black and white hexagonal floor tiles, black fixtures, and a striking exposed red brick wainscoting.
• A light, natural-tone wood-look plank flooring (Luxury Vinyl Plank – LVP) was used in the living areas, dining room, kitchen, and bedrooms, which helps brighten the space.
